Understand the Accounts
NPS offers two types of accounts. Tier I is mandatory for retirement planning, while Tier II is a voluntary savings account with high liquidity.

Tax Benefits: Eligible for tax deductions under Sec 80C & 80CCD(1B).

Withdrawal Rules: Restricted. Upon turning 60, up to 60% can be withdrawn tax-free, 40% mandatory for annuity.
